New job

I have finally hated work so much that I feel sick from the time I go in until I walk out of the door.  Every day I have to work I want to call in and tell them I'm sick or that I wrecked my car. I don't know how it has gone this far but it has.
Managers have their heads stuck up their asses so far that they believe the stories they actually tell.  One of my managers makes up stories and she tells that story so much during the day she will believe it happened. I wonder how someone could be that far out of touch with reality.
Not to take things lightly I have began to look for another job. I had a face to face interview a week or so ago. Shortly after I had a phone interview. I am still waiting to hear back from them.

**The picture I posted is a hint at the name of the company.

Ohio State

I was accepted to OSU (Ohio State University)  and I turned down the acceptance. I can't believe I did, but I did. All, well most of my life I have wanted to go there and have made major sacrifices to position myself to be able to get in. My major is marketing and I was actually got into my major.
I put the letter back into the envelope it came it and threw it to the foot of my bed. I look at it everyday before I leave.  Maybe I will go later on but not now I'm not ready.

Northwestern Alumni

After reading someone's blog about a certain football game that was to occur this Saturday I was going to talk trash and blow my team up. However, I didn't think that would be a very good sport of me. Then as I was watching the game my team started to win. So I was going to blog then, but I decided not to. As to the game progressed I was absolutely disgusted at their performance. Instead of being a classy team that we should have been we decided to run the score up. An argument could be made that Tressel did not mean to score that one touch down, but he could have easily took a knee. Also before Pryor left the game he threw a long ball. Not sure if we scored then but still not a classy move when we were going to win. But a win is a win and National Title game is out of the question.

Moving out

I was looking for a place to rent when I first came back to Ohio (for good the second time.) I looked hard and seriously, but then was discouraged and gave up. Then a week or so ago I started looking again just for fun. I came across this person looking for someone to sublease. I e-mailed them and went to look at the room. I was nice and the bills are actually not that much. I have the lease agreement in my book bag and going to fax it tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how it works out.
****This is not my pic I stole it from Google.

Gloves are off????

I was watching the news this morning and the anchors kept saying "the gloves are off." Talking about how the campaign adds are directly attacking the candidates. I say good and it's about time! Take them off and show a true fighting spirit because that is what this country needs in our time of chaos and crises.

The only thing I don't agree with is how McCain is trying to link Obama to a "radical domestic terrorist group" as stated by the F.B.I. in the late 70's. The guy may have tried to bomb places in the U.S. back then, but they just took credit for them. How they met and all this political trouble started was a fund raiser he was apart of in Illinois. A FUND RAISER!! This shows that he has CHANGED his ways, and Obama always talks about change. So, I guess my point is Obama always talks about change and this guy has obviously changed. It just supports his motto. My vote still Obama Biden '08.

Apartment looking

I am in the mists of looking for a place to live. I thought it would be easy, but it's not! I have looked for the past 2.5 weeks. Nothing, nothing has come across my path that has made me want to live there. A lot of places are okay or decent, but not for me. I contacted a place that owns like 786575 complexes and they told me nothing until November. I don't know if I want to wait around until then. I know it is only a few weeks away, but it is getting cold outside and who is really going to want to help me move?

Orion the constellation

It is my opinion that Orion, and I mean MINE because this is my blog, is the most searched for constellation. I don't know why. Maybe because it is the easiest, most distinctive, or it might be that everyone has their own story about it. The store I was taught is that the one you are about to read.
This might take a little imagination and luck to find all of the star constellations, but it's fun. When you find Orion look to the left of him he is accompanied by his faithful dog (Canis Major). Up and to the right you should be able to make out a faint V shape that is the a bull (Taurus). If you keep moving right you should see a cluster of seven stars.
The simple story is that Orion the hunter, with his dog, is battling the bull to win the affection of the Seven Sisters.
Plain and simple hu?!
**The picture has all of them except the seven sisters, but I swear it exists.

iPhone

I loved my Blackberry Curve. Loved it. Notice I have to use past tense when I expressed my feelings towards my old phone. I remember the tragic day that it broke. I walked out to my car to charge it before work. Back track I was at the hospital visiting my grandma a few weeks ago and my phone was almost dead. So I walked to my Jeep to charge it before I had to go into work. I didn't want the battery to die and not have a way for my family get a hold of me if they needed. Now you are caught up. So, I was standing at my Jeep and I plugged my car charger in and then attached it to my Curve. I then placed it on the floor of my vehicle. I noticed the plug wiggled and my phone stopped charging. I unplugged it and looked at the connector. I saw that the female end on my Curve detached from the inside and it would not charge.
I went to the AT&T store and got the LG VU. The phone was okay, but I didn't like it. The screen had a pixel problem and it was not a very fun phone. So after a week I took it back and got the iPhone. I had to get the 16 gig because I have around 9 gigs of music. This 3G kick that AT&T is on is lame and they need to stop advertising it. My phone is a 3G phone but since that service isn't available everywhere my phone still runs on the old 2G network. I love the iPhone and I'm sure a lot of other people love it as well, but it is not a Blackberry and will take some time to get use to.

wow

So, this afternoon was going really well. I was sitting at home relaxing and watching OSU football. By the way we won beating Minnesota.  That is besides the point. I'm home watching football and a friend comes over unexpected. Nice surprise right? Well the first thing out of my mouth is "What are you doing here?" This instantly upsets them because it obviously wasn't what they wanted to hear. A word to the wise if someone goes out of their way to surprise you do not say what I did but rather enjoy their company. Now they are pissed at me and I'm not sure when they will talk to me again.

Google/Yahoo

As everyone knows we have several options to choose from when it comes to picking a search engine. The two that I use nine out of ten times are Google or Yahoo!. What I like about Google is its appearance its very sleek and classy looking. Also it returns a lot of credible hits. Their logo on the home page changes with different occasions i.e.: Olympics, seasons, holidays or whenever something major is happening.
Now, what I like about Yahoo!. I like how it has the news right on the home page. So I watch local news in the morning and during a commercial break I read about national news. Which comes in very handy since I am a business major and a citizen of a country that is on the doorstep of total economic break down (depression).

OSU football

I love watching the Buckeyes (Ohio State university) play on Saturday. Well when I have a day off I like to watch them. Since moving back to Ohio I have found that OSU fans are so critical about everything that happens. We ride the wave of success, but as soon as something bad happens we inevitably say: "I knew it.... I knew we/they were going to lose." This normally occurs when we play a bigger ranked school. As soon as we play a small school that even the ESPN broadcasters haven't heard of and  we win you hear "We have a shot at the national championship.... I don't know why were aren't ranked first." If you try to remind them about what they previously stated about the team they refuse to believe any such nonsense came from them. All I'm saying is if you want to be a fan stay true.

Summer quarter

Summer quarter is finally finished. Well, I took my final exam on September 6Th. I only took three classes but one of the classes (Science) I hate! I would rather work out long division for five hours than sit thorough a lecture and lab. I took my final English class as well (Imagines of Men and Women). The teacher was ridiculously hard, and I wish i was just dramatizing it but I'm not. I didn't think I was a great writer, but he tore my work apart as if I were in high school. I'm finished and that's all that matters! I also just started my series of math, business calculus. I only have three more sections of math remaining I believe. Classes resume September 24 and I am only taking fifteen hours, but if I take anymore I will screw myself over and have to retake the same classes over when I transfer. The three classes are as follows: Economics 240, Math 131 and Science 102.  When I complete my final requirement for business, Accounting 106, I will be able to transfer. Here are my grades for summer quarter:
  • Math-A
  • Images of Men and Women-B
  • Science-B
My accumulative grade point average is 3.5 something something as long as I can keep that up I will be able to enter any Ohio business school.

HA ummm wow....

So, I blogged a few days ago about life revolving in a circular pattern, and I felt its end/beginning coming around. Well it did and I didn't even know it. I don't know if it should affect me or I should get over it?! I guess since it has already come I will just shrug my shoulders and keep on.

Stalking is being a Stalker!

Recent news about someones activities has come to light in the past few weeks. Someone I worked with I guess couldn't take the hint that we were just friends and that's all we would ever be. I knew she liked me but I wanted nothing to do with her. Really NOTHING! I never told her were I lived because I didn't think she needed to know, and besides I didn't want them to come over. I found out through several credible sources that she has made numerous trips to my house in the middle of the night. Immediately I wonder how she found out where I lived. Then one of the faithful sources told me. Psycho went to whitepages.com and found my address. Since I have a unique last name it was kind of easy to narrow the search. The trip from where she lives to my place is about 45 minutes one way, and roughly an hour and half round trip. Psycho girl has three confirmed trips to the house an multiple unconfirmed trips because she drives by alone occasional, but tells everyone she is going on a "road trip." Also one of the times she left a creepy letter. All I can say is what a crazy person! Who really does this? I'm guessing someone with a chemical imbalance that needs medication. I try to tell everyone at work about this so they see what harassment I have to deal with. Also I know she use to read my blog so I want her to know I know.

Circular Movement

I can't believe that almost a month has went by and I haven't blogged about anything? I am wondering if I was really that busy. Well I guess maybe??
Just because I haven't blogged doesn't mean that I haven't thought about things in a outside looking manor. What I continue to notice is things move in a circular pattern. I can't speak for others, but for me it does. I just wish I knew when events were going to happen, or more specifically a time frame. One part of the circle I'm happy without a care, but then it seems as if someone turns the lights off. By the light turning off I am referring to something bad or negative happening.
This time feels different because I saw it coming. I knew something was about to happen, and now I'm in limbo waiting for the full effect to kick. So now that I'm ready will it be as bad? Probably because most negative situations are never good. Maybe for a lesson learned, but that is about all. Maybe a day away is in order for me.

**The picture I think fits perfectly with this blog because you can see so many different circles within one larger circle. This easily represents the chaos of what is going on.

Start....(Edited)

Since my last post I have tried to work out as often as I could. I wont be able to go to the gym Friday or Saturday so I'll have to make up for it Sunday, and then take Monday off. The only thing I don't have down is the amount of food I need to eat. I can't seem to force myself to eat that much.

**Side note I didn't get coffee today and feel dead.

I think I might need to go back to powder food. It is easy and can go everywhere you go. Trade off is that it doesn't taste very good.

Measurements:
  • Biceps - 15 3/4 in.
  • Chest - 42 in.
  • Forearms - 13 in.
  • Waist - 37 in.
  • Quad - 24 1/4 in.

185....

I'm not trying to lose weight, but I have lost A LOT since I have stopped trying. It is due to me not eating. In no way am I starving myself I just never have time to sit down and eat a real meal. Instead of being a typical American and making pit stop at my local fast food chain I just eat food that will fuel my body (carbs and protein). I know it's not healthy and I'm sure I will pay for it in the end but I refuse to allow myself to "woof" down that value meal with 986,765,564 calories.
My clothes kind of don't fit anymore so that is very annoying in the morning when I'm trying to get ready and my pants or shorts are falling off me. So today I made a promise to myself to start eating and going to the gym to promote a healthy weight loss. I will post my measurements soon and keep updates coming.
Things I need to blog about:
  1. The Dark Knight
  2. My job good/bad
  3. College

185 is about how much I weigh.

Eye opener

I know you are not really suppose to open a writing up with a question, but I guess once will not hurt. Follow a dream or follow a future? Sounds simple and can be applied to so many things. However, I am applying this to my scholastic road. Ever since I was a young boy around the age of seven or eight I always wanted to play football for Ohio State University. Genetics played a big role in that dream not being fulfilled. I can earn a degree from there filling a small part of that dream; more specifically Fisher School of Business. I was recently talking to a friend (Lisa A.) about what school they are attending.  Miami University came up and they went on to boast about how great it is. I took it with a grain of salt because as far as I knew OSU was one of the top business schools in Ohio if not the best. After a few weeks of hearing this I decided to look into it. I found that Miami is a better college than OSU. Some would say then go there. While others say follow your dream and seek a degree from Ohio State. Following my dream might only get me so far, but following a better academic program how much more would I gain? So now I have to come up with a decision. I have until October to figure out what I want to do.  I will be turning to God for answers on this. Maybe he will slip answers into my dreams or send me messages over the radio. WAIT!!!! Maybe me figuring this out was it. HA no really I'm screwed.

S.A.S.

Dear people of America,

If you have not already heard or know about this we are in a little recession. This could be the start of something worse if the next president is incompetent. The title of this blog is S.A.S. because at my work we just finished up semi annual sale. True things were marked down up to 75 percent off, but if you cannot afford them do not buy them! Also do not sign up for a credit card to buy things you can not buy with cash. All the department stores are having sales to get your money because they are struggling too. Recessions and depressions last much longer than months. The depression on the 30's lasted for a few years. I am not going to blame it on gas like so many people out there, but I will blame greed and the elected officials of this nations for allowing this. They are so worried about being reelected that they stop caring right before elections.

**The cover of Newsweek I thought was perfect because Americans are running blind in the night spending money they do not have.

The great thing about humans is we can change our life styles. Gas is going to be seven dollars a gallon by the end of summer. Who cares buy a bike and ride it, take a bus or car pool like my some of my family is now doing.

Friends

The other day I was on the driving range trying to have time to myself, but that is never likely to happen. I went through my first bucket and checked my phone to see how much time I had remaining before I had to go to work. I saw I had a txt from my mom telling me she had news about one of my friends since fourth grade. Keeping in mind that I have not heard about him or talked to him in close to a year. I nervously txted her back is it good or bad? I was replied with "can I call" knowing this is never good a thing I told her I would call her after I finished my bucket. It turns out my friend Scott Reedy robbed a gas station. She then tried to insert comments his mom told her such as "he wants help...he has asked for help but turned down." Okay a quick run down he was kicked out of the Marine Corps, he has been in prison before and he also only asks for help when he is in trouble. He has gotten into trouble more times than this but I refuse to go into greater detail. He also has a child and his girlfriend has also be in and out of jail too.
Another friend Chad Rhinesmith dropped out of school in the 10th grade. Well this is what happened. He convinced his dad that the reason for his poor grades was because the teachers had it in for him. So he was taking home schooling for a few months and then just stopped. This equals dropping out. Now he is addicted to any pain killers her can get his hands on.
I do have one more but this is just upsetting that people I called friends are throwing their life away to drugs.
I know I dropped names but they dropped our friendship.

My vote is in....

For once I have actually started to think about who I would vote for in the presidential race this year. In the beginning I was siding for McCain  because of his service to this country. However, now that Hilary is out Mr. McCain is make some bad moves, and statements that he might not be able to recover from. When it was still unclear who was going to win between Obama and Hilary he could make bold comments and have them go unnoticed. But now, oh now it is a different race. Mr. McCain said something about keeping our troops overseas for a hundred years if we had to fight the war on terror. That is crap all we are doing is playing the role of a bully. McCain is now trying to say he is not for war, but by keeping our troops there is a good thing. I am sorry but placing hundreds of thousands of troops lives in danger to in-force OUR  way of thinking is bullying! Obama seems level headed and by not taking campaign contributions from big industries he does not owe any favors when he is elected. Look at President Bush just as horrible as his father and wouldn't/couldn't pass any laws because he owed too many favors. So in the end we have to pay for it. The American population is like cattle in a pin. We may MOOO but eventually we give in and go where we are pushed. Not so fast! This is why Obama is getting my vote. To me he seems like he genuinely cares about the small people in the small towns doing the smallest of jobs. Mr. Obama you get my vote this year and my respect.

Spring Quarter

Spring quarter has come and gone with a lot of  bumps in between. Now summer quarter starts June 30th and I have not picked any classes yet. I was called a procrastinator because classes start so soon, but I refuse to take a class with out knowing who the professor is going to be. Some teachers teach for a paycheck while others actually teach because they enjoy it and want to help others. The most helpful tool I use is ratemyprofessor.com to weed out the teachers who will not positively impact my college experience. Grades are as followed:

Accounting-A
Economics-A
English-A
Math-B
Term GPA-3.722

I am happy with my grades and I know I could have gotten a lot worse, but also there is room for improvement. Earning a 4.0 would be awesome and is a goal of mine, but not this quarter.

Grinds My Gears

I really hated walking around campus and trying to dodge suitcases that were transformed into book bags or tot-sacks however you want to say it. A suitcase is a great invention for travel or stowing things away, but not, I repeat not for class to class voyages. I had a full load but I did not need the extreme presents of a suitcase to carry my books that do not weigh enough to warrant a suitcase. These suitcase violators are just as bad as parents during the holiday season who bust out the double wide baby stroller. It is not enough that they are dragging their kids around while they are screaming, but now they seem to do it more so when the malls are packed. The strollers are so wide that they are more wide than two people walking side-by-side. Anyway back to suitcases turned into book bags. Bad idea and do not do it please....

Actual picture from my english class!

No pocket of sunshine

For some reason that I am not aware of I have developed a sleeping problem. I use to not be able to sleep and now for some reason I sleep more than I care to admit to. I don't know what it is, but as soon as I sit down or lay down I go straight to sleep. I hate it! I don't like the feel of being sleepy all the time. No matter what I do I cannot get rid of the feeling. Like right now I feel exhausted and want to just crawl into bed and not come out. I do have a book with-in arms reach so I guess it is not too bad.
I could not help myself with this blog pic. A sleeping baby donkey; come on you know it is cute!

Atonement

I have meant to blog about this, but for some reason I never got around to it. I bought Atonement and finally watched it. I thought the movie was great. The only complaint I have is I feel like they were trying to fit too much into too little. Over all again still a great movie. It had a normal ending, or what some would argue a real life ending. No one ended with who they were suppose to. Tragic! I still hold onto hope. It is was what fuels so many dreams, and destroys reality. But anyway I thought the blog picture fit this blog since it was from the movie. Again he held onto hope all the way up until the end.

Gave In

#1. I finally gave in and had an eye exam. I knew my vision was not top notch or very poor. What I found out is that I'm near sighted. So I can see things up close but not far away. After a few more days of debating to get glasses or not; I went to Lenscrafters and got my prescription filled. I have never worm glasses, well only to read in, but that is all. First day I wore them was to work because I was going to see a few hundred people and if I got any bad looks or comments I would just deal with my near sightedness and do away with my glasses. Well the test was successful and I am keeping them.

#2. After watching Lucky # Slevin I decided I am going to grow my hair out like Josh Harnett in the movie. Right now I am stuck at the point of just shaggy and difficult to style hair.

**The picture I am posting is a rare one  and maybe the last. I wanted to keep this blog anonymous but eh who cares if anyone finds it. Also just how Nostradamus hide things in his writing there are things in this picture that should be found, but might not.

Columbus Art Festival

On Saturday mornings I have a Economics class. Last Saturday we got out early because we just reviewed for our final next week. Since I did not have to be to work until 3 and class was let out at 11 I had a lot of time to kill. I remembered that their was an art festival going on close to my college. To be exact Columbus Art Festival held annually every year.  At first I just walked around to kill time. As I continued to walk looking at artists life work I could not help to be humbled. They took ordinary things and made more than what words could try to describe. The first walk around I did was to try and see everything. Which is not possible. Second lap I tried to stop by all the stands that sparked interest during the first lap. Third was to do donkey sightings which was extremely hard, and I only found two stands.
After this I am now going to take more interest in art and try to bury myself in it, and if possible feel what the is trying to be expressed.

*If you can try to imagine the big red thing says ART. That actually belongs to the college so I think that is why it was held there. The festival was held in the area of the college.

A right to be dumb?

I was driving to work this afternoon. I had my window's down and cruse control set at 70. The speed limit was 65 so I was not going too fast. I seen a swarm of people going out and around this one particular vehicle. It was so bad that even semi trucks were going out and around. It was my turn to pass them, and then I seen a lick and stick thing hanging on their window. The sticker read "BABY ON BOARD." I though to myself does this give you a right to drive 50 mph in a 65 fast lane? No, is the correct answer. I just wonder if you really do have a baby in your car then why put them at risk going slow in a fast lane? That's like me cutting my leg off and jumping into a pool filled with sharks. I know that is an extreme example ,but still crazy drivers with road rage are wild animals I do not like to face.

Meeting Friends

Quick thought. I have a 8am Saturday economics class and a girl in my class, who talks very loudly, was telling of how she met her boyfriend. I was shocked about what she was admitting too! She was saying how this guy messaged her on Myspace, who lives 3 hours away, and she just felt "compelled" to reply him because he "seemed different." If I have learned one thing from a friend is that anyone can be anything on Myspace. I feel bad for her because she seems like a nice girl that is searching for a nice guy, but Myspace I feel like is not the best way to meet someone and publicly announce it. I could be wrong. If anyone feels different let me know, and if I'm off base or wrong. I'll either edit or delete this post. Depending how good your argument is.

Depression, Sadness, Sorrow

I try to not eat candy or sweets very often, but sometimes you just cannot help it. I have been feel down or depressed lately and I don't know why. I the weather has finally cleared up and summer has arrived. With the sun being out and birds singing why am I not happy? Is it a chemical imbalance or something unexplainable? A lot of questions going unanswered I know, but today, ooooh today, for twenty minutes I was happy and worry free. While putting fuel in my Jeep for some reason not known to me I went inside and bought a King Size Reese's Cup candy. I sat at my desk and enjoyed all four chocolate and peanut butter cups. I was taken from this state of mind and sent off on a relaxing ride to never never land. Now I am back and blogging about it.

Header

I sat in from of my computer last night looking at my blog thinking about what I could change on it to maybe make it look different. I though maybe the profile picture. Nah. OOH I know I'll change the header I thought to myself. Since it was freakishly long and didn't fit the given box. I changed it a few times and then changed it back a few more. In the end I kept my original picture this time I found out that when you click the box that says "shirk to fit." You should probably do so because it is there for cosmetic reasons.

3rd person

I am not the most proficient person when it comes to grammar rules, and those who are close to me, or frequently read my blog know this. However, I do try to be as correct as possible. If I am wrong on a rule or I am misusing a word I will try to make a mental note and not use it incorrectly again. The reason for this blog is a question: "When did it become okay to put your name ina story you are telling?" As a joke fine, but when you are actually having a conversation (serious or formal) I am going to go with NEVER. You look and sound like a fool when you do. I guess the same people who said "Yes, brown and black CAN be worn together" teamed up with the third person rule people and changed the rules over night. I am going to try an attempt to be completely repulsive and coy. (1b: if you click the link you'll know what I mean.)

*This is me telling the story to you as Joe Kavalier (narrator and person.) If you know who Joe Kavalier is then you are awesome.

I Joe Kavalier sat outside a bead of sweat started to form on Joe Kavalier's forehead. Joe Kavalier sat there thinking to Joe Kavalier's self "Wow Joe Kavalier is hot and it is hot outside." What should Joe Kavalier do he asks Joe Kavalier. I think I Joe Kavalier will go inside to stop this sweating that is taking place on my Joe Kavalier's forehead. After going inside Joe Kavalier had to sit down because Joe Kavalier is hot and tired. In Joe Kavalier's old age he doesn't get very much exercise.

This of course is an extreme example, but take warning to it. Because as foolish as it was to read this it is even more foolish to sound like this!

Quick Blog for the Masses

I am quick to jump on the mainstream music band wagon like most people. I think I might have blogged about liking the song Closer by Neyo and other various artist and songs.  I'm not for sure and want to finished this post before I look. A new song has come into heavy rotation on my iPod. Viva La Vida by Coldplay for some reason I cannot get enough of! I actually have not heard it on the radio or watched it on T.V.. WAIT weird and strange that song is on a itunes commercial!!!!!!!!!! Anyway I have seen 30 seconds of the video on tbs now. I think I was just downloading random song and happened to come across this one and I really cannot stop listening to it. I guess a new song will come and replace Viva La Vida. The song title means "I Live the Life."

*Side note. Does anyone reading this know how to put a power point in a blog?

Quotes

As I sat in the waiting of the hospital I was reading and came across these quotes. Since I can blog from my Blackberry why not share them while I wait.

"America is not just a country. It's an idea."
Bono

"Anyone who believes the competitive spirit in America is dead has never been in a supermarket when the cashier opens another checkout line."
Ann Landers

"News used to hold itself to a higher plane, and slowly has dissolved into, well, me."
Jon Stewart

Slevin...Round Two

I just finished watching the move Lucky # Slevin. I must say (I LOVED IT!!!!) I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end! So many twists, turns, plots and subplots. I had no idea what the movie was about or what to expect. I thought Lucy Lui was in on it up until the end. I was about to get upset then they showed her in the train station. Thank god! I may have a rough exterior but I am a sap for love stories. I remember hearing that movies are just MOVIES because it never works out like that in real life. True, but I am a typical American then because I will not settle for an unhappy ending in a movie.

Sexual Harassment

I have wanted to post this for the last few days, but I needed some time to pass so I could be as level headed as I possibly could about the situation. I was at work the other day and a lady wanted to exchange something. What's is the problem you might ask? Nothing. The problem was in the dialog that was passed from her to me. In order to exchange something or sell at retail you must scan the bar code or type the sku number in. The lady was twirling her merchandise (panties) around her fingers. I waited for her to stop so I could scan it, but she wouldn't. I asked her "can I have your things so I can ring you out?" She then proceeded to say: "So you want my panties hu? You really want them?" HA HA and I'm saying that in a very dry and sarcastic tone. As if that didn't make things uncomfortable enough she asked me to pick things out for her. I told her that she could hire a personal shopper if she needed assistance or advice on what to pick out. She didn't like that idea because as she out it "I would want you to pick it because you would take it off of me." By this time I have not looked up from the computer screen because I felt VERY uncomfortable. Usually I don't mind people being crazy but this was creepy! But wait she wasn't finished. She then told me that "You could take them off with your teeth." By this time I have lost all respect for her and trying as quickly as possible to ring her up and get her out of the store. I felt humiliated, disgusted, mortified and dirty.
I was shopping for a suit the other day and a lady helped me in the suit department. No problems, but I wonder does she ever get nasty things said to her? I'm going to assume no but I could be wrong. I guess move on and I hope I don't cross paths with that lady.

UPDATE on promotion

As of yesterday I was offered a elevated position at work. The fancy title they put on it is "Cash Wrap Lead." We have two positions and I was just offered the other spot yesterday afternoon. It was kind of unique how I got the job/offer. Top management was in a meeting and found out they rated another lead. One manager immediately mentioned me, and brought it up to another manager. The twist is that the second manager had just mentioned it to the store manager. That afternoon it was mentioned to me in a voicemail. I guess they wanted to make sure I would even want the job. I quickly said "HECK YEA!" Blah Blah Blah (time elapsing).... I excepted yesterday afternoon. Not all the details have been worked out, but I am one of the cash wrap leads.

NOOOOOO FOOD!!!!

I came home from the gym this after hungry and looking forward to eating a nice supper. I cooked a chicken breast and wrapped it in a flour tortilla. After this things went down hill. I dug through the kitchen trying desperately trying to find anything. Something that I could eat because I was starving. I looked and looked; can of corn....NO, can of peas....NO, can of carrots....NO. Wait what is this? Can it be? Never!? A can of "Progresso Hearty Tomato Soup." Now as I drink it I find it satisfying, but missing some form of protein. At this point I cannot beg so I wont. I will enjoy this victory in the battle of hunger.

*Not an actual picture from me, but the exact kind and brand I ate.

Deeper look

It has been while since my last post, and I feel like a balloon about too burst. This blog "Rants and Raves" allows me to vent about anything I want because it is MY BLOG. Everyone wants to now what someone else really thinks about them. Well, a girl at work, I know I'm going to misquote her so I'll generalize, thinks I'm funny but too cocky or full of myself. This comes as a shock to me because I don't feel like I am, but I am on the inside looking in and not on the outside looking in. If people really knew me and everything I think about myself I doubt that "cocky...full of himself" would be used to describe me. I tell people all the time that I use to be horribly over weight, and they do not believe me. They say "I cannot see you as being fat" well I was so move on. An example you can try to use in imagining how I looked: 44'' waist, 5'8" tall and 280 pounds. I would lose my breath bending over tying my shoes. When I look at myself I see the fat kid in the mirror and I freak out and think I need to work out more. A lot of other things went into the mixing pot to shape how I view things now, but I'll spare you the details. Before you pass judgment maybe you should find out a little background information, but I guess that is why they call it ASS-U-M-ing.

Last Time

This WILL be my last post dedicated to you, and I mean that in the nicest and most loving way possible. I WILL not hint, come close, mention or try to build a bridge when the other side is not welcoming.  I am going to try and be discreet, but blunt, nice but with pain in my voice.
I was told to forget. Webster defines forget as:
1 a: to lose the remembrance of : be unable to think of or recall bobsolete : to cease from doing
2: to treat with inattention or disregard
3 a: to disregard intentionally : overlook —usually used in the imperative b: to give up hope for or expectation of —usually used in the imperative
Since that is what you want then who am I to say nay. I "left the light on" as they say but 17 days have passed, and still counting, without so much as a sparkle or glitter. So, forgetting you was the last thing I wanted to do to end this incarceration. Every move has been made, the last card dealt or the well has run dry; Which ever horrible pun you want to use by all means go ahead, but it's final.
My last thought to you is a quote by  George Eliot "It's never too late to be what you might have been."

114 degrees 07' 34.52" E

Future Leaders

Some of you who know me and read my blog know that I am a current college student. While I am on campus several questions always arise through the day. I constantly wonder if past student generations acted the same way that we do today. Student protests and rallies have been apart of college life since the beginning. So I am not even concerning myself with the public demonstrations about the suppressive government that take place once a week. I do wonder when it became okay to write slenderest things on the bathroom walls. College is suppose to be a place of expanding your views past that of narrow minded people, and one day become a leader.

Also I noticed that things are always being destroyed or damaged. Common sense would tell me that the college will pay to have them fixed, but recoup the money from a raise in tuition. If anyone has any feedback on this please let me know.

Revised 20 May 2008

11 (eleven) is the natural number following 10 and preceding 12. It is the first number which cannot be represented by a human counting his or her eight fingers and two thumbs additively (although it can be represented in a variety of other ways using human bodily parts, such as counting additively with the twenty digits including the toes, using the thumb to count the finger phalanges of one hand additively up to twelve, or using the fingers in one hand to count up to fifteen biannually). Eleven is the smallest positive integer requiring three syllables in English, and it is also the largest prime number with a single-morpheme name in this language (although etymologically the word eleven originated from a Germanic compound *ainlif meaning "one left" (plagiarized from wikipedia).

Eleven also can have so much more meaning than this. It could be a lucky number for someone because of a special event that happened on an 11th day of an 11th month.

Simple math can show us even more 11+11=22....2+2=4
The two 11's came from 11th of November (11th month). So the 11th day plus the 11th month.

Schooling::::

I am not very knowlabgle on the schooling system, but I'm going to try and post as much information I know. The schooling system in Dublin, OH and Upper Arlington, OH are wealthy areas of Central Ohio. They also have a VERY good schooling system in place. Is there a correlation between the two? Their is a good possibility so law makers from Ohio want to take money from their schools to pass onto other less fortunate schools. They are living by the "If you throw money at the problem it will go away" theory. If a school has poor test scores and a pile of other problems maybe you should take a look at the administration. If a school is complaining about not having enough money you could also take a look at the salaries of the superintendent and the whole administration and ask yourself do they need to make so much at the top while the bottom is struggling? Are they qualified to make that much, or do they just sit there waiting for retirement? I am not in any position to make these decisions, but maybe someone in the future will understand this and reevaluate how money is distributed.

Brain stopped working

The store I currently work at just finished remodeling. Well just finished and opened back up as in a few weeks ago. But that's not the point. We have a desk on one of the walls, and on the desk is a computer, markers and a cup of tacks. I was trying to make a point that having tacks in the reach of adolescence's (9-16) could be dangerous. My argument was they could stick their fingers in the container holding them and prick themselves. I was just trying to demonstrate this too further validate my point. In the process a tack went into my finger. Not just a little way, but like all the way. I was bleeding everywhere and being a baby about it because it really hurt.

To this date no one else has pricked their figure expect me. I am quietly waiting for someone else to repeat what I did because I feel dumb. So maybe adolescence's are better with commonsense rules than adults.

Did You Know....

Every few days my English teacher plays a YouTube video for us the first few minutes of class while we are settling into our seats. Usually they are okay in a nerdy way. For example we watched one on MLA formatting and how it was like a show down at high noon for students. I would link it so you would know what I was talking about but I cannot find the address.
Anyway this last video was on conservation which has been our class theme since the start. Again our teacher found a YouTube clip to give us a visual. However, this time it I really enjoyed watching it. I don't know how many students felt the same way, but when I got home I watched it again just in case I missed something. I shared it with friends I was talking with on AIM trying to pass it on. I am sure they did not send it to their friends, but I did my part in trying to spread the clip. I am going to try and post it on here, but if that does not work here is the Hyperlink Did You Know. Don't turn down the music it goes with the clip.

I don't know how many hours she, my teacher, spends looking for these clips probably a lot, but for the most part I enjoy them.

Finally

I know coming from a guy this post might seem a little weird, but everyone wants to have a decent hair cut.
I fianlly found a place that can cut my hair the way I want and like it. I have searched for months to find a place like, and I did! I was driving home from the gym one day and remembered that I had an interview the next. Not wanting to look like a scruff I stopped at the first plave I saw. The first time they did a great job, but I thought it to be a fluke. Then I went back last night and she did an even better job. Even though it's about $27 after the tip that's fine with me. Its worth not looking like I have a odd shaped head.
(Typed on my blackberry so spelling might be a little off)

Happy Mothers Day

Happy mothers day to everyone that reads this and is a mother. When I was at work today I tried to think of the big picture, or outside of the box. I take the most simple things and try to be complex about it, but not on purpose.
As I stood there at work thinking about mothers and trying to expand on it. I thought about mother, mother earth and then earth. For the most part everyone gave their mother figure a "Happy Mothers Day," but what about mother earth? Why are trashing our planet more so than the previous?
I really want to say that this all came from this Saturday when I attended the screening of Pangea Day, May 10th,  and it was very inspiring. I watched films that did not have any spoken words but were so powerful you felt some tangible being passed to you. The other films highlighted topics about bringing down the boarders and world views.
Simply put I want you to expand your thinking process and give thanks to mother earth for providing everything for us. I know we have earth day but what is one day compared to the millions of years she will/has given us!?
Before you throw your trash out of the window think twice and wait until you come to a stopping point to dispose of it properly.

Promotion....Not Happening

Just so everyone knows  did not get the job I wanted. The only thing I have to show about the situation is "maybe I wasn't ready." I should not be very mad anyway because even managers are being let go because they did not get the position they wanted either. I guess I'm lucky because I'm happy being a store associate. Well actually I know wasn't ready for the position so live and let live about this.
They also got rid of the section I work in. Now, I have look for other avenues to take for work. The section I worked in has a free standing store just down the way from our store. I'm going to see if i can set up and interview. I guess I will have to keep you posted on this too.

Men's Bathroom Rules

1. This rule goes back to one your mom would tell you. Don't talk to somebody you don't know under any condition. You may talk softly to a friend, but absolutely do not give someone a head nod or anything else that will call attention to yourself.

2. A quick look in the mirror is okay, but  don't spend a lot of time fixing your hair or clothing unless on a date. Pimple popping is only allowed after checking to see nobody else is around.

3. Do not talk about the girl you are with, and too further this rule don't talk about hopes of getting laid. If you are out on a date no one wants to hear you being lame and it could possibly get back to your date some how.

4. If there is a line then stand at least five feet back! You might see something you don't want to, or get accused of being gay.

5. It is not okay to pee directly next to someone in a urinal.  Pending urinals are full then go to a stall. These next steps I cannot stress enough.

A. Lift the seat up to prevent your dribbling getting on the seat. Return the seat to the down position for the next person.

B. Stand closer it is shorter than you think.

C. Finally FLUSH!

6. Wash your hands after you are finished.

Following these simple rules will help you in the long run. If you come across some that I might have missed just let me know

My Birthday

In case anyone was wondering nothing bad happened to me on my birthday. The only thing that might cause me to say Karma came near me was my computer messed up/broke. Other than that I would like to thank everyone who had a hand in helping me break the curse. Maybe the next 25 will be super awesome. Well "maybe" is a key word we will find out a year from now.

This was not my cake, but I would have loved a donkey birthday cake!

Econ test

I took my economics test today and I earned a 31/50 roughly a 62%. Yes, I earned a D because their were 14 (not an exaggeration) different economic models we had to know, and it wasn't possible for me to remember them all. By now you might be freaking out that I'm even remotely happy about a D which is failing by my standards. The class average was a 44% (F), and that means they were no where close to even a D. The teacher just laughed and informed us that that would be the hardest test we would take. That is a lie because knowledge builds on top of itself. Highlight better than class average. Downside WAY under my standards.
I am taking full responsibility for my test results but I'm not going to lie I hurried and filled in answers for the last five questions because this girl in my class was snorting like a PIG. I could only think to myself "Please stop being a animal and blow your nose!" That didn't happen I had to listen to it for four and half hours. I hope next week this doesn't occur.

....25....

Okay so it is my birthday and nothing tragic has happened yet! I still have 16.5 hours remaining. So, for the remaining hours of this day I will be staying inside listening to music, doing homework and then going to work at 6:00 PM. I refuse to let Karma, God's evil henchman find me, find me and do anything bad!

Smokers

To all smokers. Just to let you know the smoking bands that are in place and new ones we come up with are your fault. You really brought it upon yourself. By now you think I'm a dumb non-smoker. Only one of those are correct and I'll let you judge. Just keep in mind you are being punished by the masses not the individual so more than half of you are guilty on these offences.

You felt the need to smoke in closed doors resulting in bad air for everyone. Shocking I know smoking causes cancer and other defects in the body. It's not a revelation do some research. So, you were kicked outside because it's an open aired place. Well you couldn't even take a few more steps past the door way could you? That is a hypothetical question no need to answer it. No, you couldn't. As soon as a person walks out of any door they have to manoeuvre around all 85,564 smokers. The next thing we had to is put a area around a building that you couldn't smoke in. Example is you cannot smoke within 50 feet of the building.

So next time you light up remember you are your own self demise. Stop blammoing US the non-smoker for your problems. If you would be kind and generous to others then all these bands and laws wouldn't be in effect.

How could I have missed this!?

Almost unnoticed....Almost....

Doubt thou, the Starres are fire,
Doubt, that the Sunne doth moue:
Doubt Truth to be a Lier,
But neuer Doubt, I loue.

  • Stars seem to burn like fire because they twinkle and flicker. We now know stars are not made of fire, but still burn!
  • Yes, the planets rotate around the sun, but since the universe is expanding the sun is moving away from something. In his time they didn't think the sun moved. We will be BLUNT and ASSUME here (about referencing the move).
  • The doubt we find is foreshadowing to us later rejection and constant doubt.
BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT.BUT....

Let us not forget the last two line which hold the most important meaning of all

  • You may doubt these two certainties; You may doubt everything; But never doubt my love.
Like I said at the beginning ALMOST over looked.

*As always if I'm wrong please, please, please let me know.

American culture

America is full of scare tactics. Stealing copper is a new trend to help with hard times, and a lot of people are doing it. That last sentence sounds like I condone it, but truth is I don't. If you have hard times get another job. If you still don't have enough money do with out something.
The scare tactics that are being smeared all over the T.V.. You see a handsome clean cut firefighter who died putting his life on the line. Then you have an attractive female cop who died in the line of duty. Finally you have a scrubby white guy sitting on a porch who died stealing copper and they ask "Is that how you want to be remembered?" Really, come on!? A thief is a thief they are not going to be watching T.V. at home. Hint it's probably pawned.
